Additional info

This boat was sold from Belgium to Sweden in the mid-seventies and has since then been in Stockholm area. During the years many upgrades has been made. In the 80´s was the wheelhouse rebuilt and enclosed with roof and windows for better comfort during cold periods in Sweden. All work professionally made in shipyard.

This boat is extremely strongly built with attention to all gear, engine room installation, steering, sailing equipment and living accommodation. It is extremely roomy and has 8 full sized fixed births in three separate compartments. No sleeping is provided in main salon. The ballast consists of 11 tons of lead locked in keel construction which make this boat very stable when sailing offshore. Vital installations are totally independent of each other like the engines which is totally redundant and is made in such a way to give low exhaust noise. Boat is very seaworthy and handles extremely well under rough conditions. Frame spacing is like an ice breaker with a spacing of 0,40 meter throughout.

Hull construction
Siemens Martin ¼” steel plating. 10 mm steel plating in way of propellers. Superstructure is 5 mm. All steel constructions material is factory cleaned and zino plated before assembly and welding.

Mast, sails, and deck equipment
2 anodizes aluminium masts by Stainless steel spars Ltd. Both booms with roller reefing. Stainless steel rigging. 8 sails by Wittevrongel Blankenberg. Eight Godot winches.

Steering gear
Hydraulic steering gear made by Brussele, Nieuport. 2 piston system as installed with 50% over-capacity.

Engine room
2 x Gardner 6 Lx marine engines. 127 hp each at 1500 RPM. Equipment with single lever manoeuvre from bridge. 2:1 gearbox. Fresh water cooled with heavy duty SERK heat exchangers. Stainless steel flexible bellows. Bonze water ejected exhaust between engines and bronze exhaust silencer. Stainless steel exhaust pipes between silencer to outer exhaust. 2 vulkan flexible couplings. Custom built heavy duty thrust blocks. Sea cocks are in bronze and is no nonsense made.

Special steel shafts of 70 mm in diameter, far excess Lloyds specifications. Bearing sections and propeller end of shaft have been turned and filled with stainless steel ratified and polished. Shafts are carried from engine room to propellers (2,70 meters) in SANDVIO special steel tubing having a wall thickness of 35 mm for extreme rigidity. These tubing’s hold bearings of special design and are greased filled under constant pressure by Bosch automatic greasing pumps with dividing blocks. Separate greasing pump for each shaft.
